Terry Joe Obptande

Anna, died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1942, in Anna, the son of Bill and Lowanda Obptande.

He married Nancy Palmer. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2000.

He worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory.

Mr. Obptande is survived by four sons and their wives, Robert and Linda Hanner of El Paso, Texas, Charles and Beth Hanner of Mulkeytown, Ronald and Susan Hanner of Springfield, Mo., and Jerry and Susan Obptande of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Moe Obptande of Anna; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, with the Rev. Tony Foeller officiating at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment was in the Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.

Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
