Hilda M. Broadway, 83, of Anna, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 in the Anna Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born Feb. 14, 1932 in Golconda, the daughter of William and Opal Gaskins Werner. She married James Cletus Broadway on May 7, 1949 in Morrison, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1994.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Sharon) Broadway of Danville, Sandy (Darrell) Carpenter of Danville, Mike Broadway of Anna, Kenny (Barb) Broadway of Anna, Gary (Shirley) Broadway of Jonesboro, Sheila (Steve) Zinn of Dongola, Linda (Tim) Hanney of Anna, daughters in law, Rhonda Broadway of Herrin and Christine Broadway of Paducah, Kentucky, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister Gladys Threlkeld of Golconda; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Cletus Broadway; children, Archie, Sherry, Chuck, and George; and brothers, Cecil and Junior Werner.
She was of the Baptist faith. She attended the Lighthouse Outreach Center.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Richard Reynolds officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Outreach Center. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
