A-J’s Miller plans to golf at Logan

Anna-Jonesboro Community High School’s Abby Miller has signed a letter of intent to play golf at John A. Logan Community College  in Carterville next season.

“She has a lot of potential,” A-J golf coach Cory Miller said. “A lot depends on how hard she’s willing to work to do what it takes to become a collegiate golfer.”

Miller had a stroke average of 57.4 during her freshman season and finished her senior season at A-J with a 44.6 average. “She’s come a long way in four years,” Cory Miller said.

During her senior season, Miller finished fourth at the Pinckneyville Invitational and had a ninth place finish at the Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi Division Conference tournament.
