William H. Casey

William H. Casey, 75, of Jonesboro, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at his home in Jonesboro.

He was born on July 25, 1933, in Wolf Lake, the son of Jesse Glasco and Curtis Edith Land Casey.

Mr. Casey is survived by his former wife, Virginia; four children, Bill and wife Connie Casey of Henderson, Ky., Sharon Casey of Pana, Simon Casey of Kingston Springs, Tenn., and Carolyn and husband Mark Foltz of Dongola; four stepchildren, Billy Lee of Norris City, LaDonna and husband Brent Sims of Anna, Bobby Lee of Jonesboro and Dorothy Thieke of Jonesboro; Gary Dawes of Anna, who was like a son to him; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a sister, Sharon Irene Casey.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Jonesboro Masonic Lodge No. 111 AF & AM, as well as Operating Engineers Local No. 112 in California.

A graveside service and burial are planned at noon Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Alto Pass Cemetery.

After the service, family and friends plan to gather at the Lincoln Memorial Park in Jonesboro. Those who attend are asked to bring a dish.
