John Frey Jr.

John Frey Jr., 76, of Cairo died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 10, 1936, in Cairo, the son of John Dennis Frey Sr. and Nellie Hodges Frey.

He married Nancy Naomi Britt. She preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 1998.

Mr. Frey was self-employed as a furniture upholsterer. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Cairo.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Denise (Keith) Woolard of Christopher; four sons, John Dennis Frey III of Tampa, Fla., William Dewey Frey of Cairo, Harold (Meredith) Frey of Fenton, Mo., and Robert Lee Frey of Bertrand, Mo., 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Thomas Frey of Cairo and Art Frey of Corunna, Mich.; one sister, Corien Sullivan of Sikeston, Mo.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and by an infant son, Michael.

Services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin with Steve Sullivan officiating. Interment was in the Spencer Heights Cemetery.
