Geneva A. Osman

Geneva A. Osman, age 93, of Dongola, died at 5 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2009, at her home.

She was born on August 19, 1915 in Pomona to Harry and Ida (Sexton) Fuller.  She married Ward Osman on April 9, 1938.  He preceded her in death on July 8, 1995.

She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Audrey Hartline of Carbondale and Evelyn (Frederick) Maxwell of Springfield, MO; a grandson, Gary Hartline of Carbondale; three granddaughters, Keri (Steve) Stoodley of Makanda, Penelope (Mike Schmidt) Maxwell of Madrid, Spain, and Corinne Maxwell Springfield, MO; two great grandaughters, Nicole & Lauren Stoodley, both of Makanda; a great grandson, Ryan (Brittany) Stoodley of Marion; a great  great granddaughter, Madison Stoodley of Marion; a sister, Geraldine Simmerman of Elgin; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, Roy Fuller, Lloyd Fuller and Duane Fuller, a sister, Vera Karraker, three infant siblings and a son-in-law, Fletcher Hartline.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with Rev. Floyd Stout officiating.  Interment will be in Meisenheimer Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2009, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.

Memorials may be made to Meisenheimer Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or VNA TIP Hospice.
