A-J cross country runs on Sept. 2 at Murphysboro

Forrest Palis finished in 20:30 to lead Anna-Jonesboro’s efforts at the Murphysboro Invitational in high school boy’s cross country action Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Chance Bartolomucci was next for the Wildcats in 22:10, followed by Ryan Pulver 22:12; Jesse Webb 22:44; Andrew Adams 22:46; Matt Meller 23:50; and Dylan Tucker 25:33.

Cape Notre Dame won the Class 1A boys competition with a score of 24.

Bart Vancil finished in 30:10 for A-J in the junior varsity race.

Girl’s race

Jessica Stone finished in 26:36 to lead the A-J girls. Teammate Trish Anglin finished in 32:56.
