Ruth Turner

Ruth Turner, 87, of Headland, Alabama, formerly of Golconda passed away August 19, 2009, in Abbeville, AL.

Ruth was born January 15, 1922, at Batesville, Arkansas to Tom and Eliza (Burges) McCulskey.

 Survivors include her two sons, Carroll and wife Donna Henson of Dongola, IL, Vern Jr. and wife Barbra Henson of West Vienna, IL; five daughters, Elice and husband Jerry Lowe of Visalia, CA, Louise Morley of Jonesboro, IL, Loretta and husband Roy Money of Headland, AL, Marilyn Sue Leach of Anna, IL Melba Ruth and husband Wayne Mixen of Anna, IL; 15 grandchildren, 28 Great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Cletis Turner; five brothers and two sisters.

Ruth worked as a nurse at the Union County Hospital and for the Job Corps before retiring.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on August 22, 2009, at Aly Funeral Home Golconda. Visitation will be from noon until time of service. Rev. Billy Green will conduct the service.

Internment will be in the Waltersburg Cemetery Golconda.
