A-J tops Nashville in volleyball action

Rachel Hayden had 14 digs and 12 serve receives to lead Anna-Jonesboro to a 22-25, 25-23 and 25-19 win over visiting Nashville in Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division high school volleyball Thursday, Oct. 8.

Leslie Donna had 13 serves and 12 serve receives.

Adriel Cross had 27 sets and 8 assists. Karley Heath had 12 serves and an ace.

Chandra Parr had 14 digs. Kaylee Little had 8 hits and 7 kills. Elise Wheaton had 2 blocks and an ace.

Mackenzie Housman had 35 sets and 11 assists to lead the A-J junior varsity to a 25-18, 16-25 and 25-22 win over Nashville.

Chandra Parr had 15 digs, 12 hits, 9 kills and 3 blocks.

Jayda Rendleman had 18 serve receives, 9 serves and an ace. Emma Basler had 16 digs, 13 hits and 9 kills.

Amanda Conaway had 14 sets and 5 assists to lead the Wildcat freshmen to a 25-16, 16-25 and 15-13 win.

Rebecca Mitchell had 7 serves and 4 aces. Katie Whiteside had 10 serve receives.

Kati McIntyre had 12 digs. Cheyenne Lingle had 8 hits, 4 kills and 2 blocks.

The A-J varsity improved to 13-12, the junior varsity to 12-2 and the freshmen to 11-0.
