Tetanus shots available for flood volunteers, residents
The Illinois Department of Health and the Southern Seven Health Department have announced that tetanus shots will be made available for volunteers helping in the flood relief efforts as well as residents of the region affected by the flooding.
The organizations will have 55 tetanus shots available. The vaccines were provided by IDPH and will be free to volunteers and flood victims of McClure, East Cape and surrounding Alexander County.
The vaccines will be available on Saturday, July 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Flood Command Center at the McClure Village Hall, located at 38104 Grapevine Trail in McClure. Vaccines will be given out on a first come, first served basis.
