State Rep. candidate hosting campaign office grand opening tonight

Marsha Griffin, candidate for state representative in the 115th Representative District, is hosting a grand opening of her campaign office from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 29, located at 2015 W. Main St., Suite 107 in Carbondale.

"I have been out knocking on doors and talking to residents every day and the response has been very encouraging. Folks are fed up with the dysfunction and career politicians in Springfield," Griffin said. "I'm looking forward to officially kicking-off my campaign, meeting with the supporters I've made over the past few months, and continuing to talk to families in our community about how to make Springfield work again."

The grand opening will feature complimentary food, a live musical performance by the Kali Lynn Band, and guest speaker Kevin Starr from Laborers Local 773. The event is free and open to the public.
