South Egyptian Conference names all-conference team members
The South Egyptian Conference has recognized its 2018-2019 all-conference teams.
In baseball, Cobden seniors Zane Nance and Chandler West, along with junior Landon Britt, were selected to the first team. Teammate sophomore Noah Franklin was named to the second team.
Shawnee High School senior Ryan Schaefer was a first team baseball selection. Teammate senior Nick Rose made the second team.
In softball, Cobden High School freshman Makenzie Howell and junior Lauren Sweitzer were selected to the first team.
Dongola High School senior Maddie Keller and junior Megan Theis were selected to the first team in softball, as was Shawnee senior Autumn McMahan. Shawnee senior Laycee Presutti made second team.
In volleyball, Cobden seniors’ Megan Rhodes and Elle Mason were selected to the first team. Second team picks were teammate senior Harleigh Braden and Shawnee junior Kirsten Pitts.
In basketball, Cobden’s Franklin was selected to the first team. Teammate Joe Brumleve, a sophomore, was named to the second team.
In girls’ basketball, Shawnee’s McMahan was selected to the first team and teammate Presutti to the second team. Cobden junior Jenna Hartline also made the second team.
Also in girls’ basketball, Shawnee shared the SEC conference title with Meridian.
