Soup, chili supper, dessert auction planned

An annual soup and chili supper and dessert auction are planned at historic St. Anne’s Church at 507 S. Main St. in Anna on Friday, March 15, at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per person. 

The supper and auction will help to support the upkeep of St. Anne’s. 

Donations of desserts for the auction are welcome; however, it is asked that no cream desserts be brought. 

Walk-ins are welcome, although if possible, those who plan to attend are asked to call 833-9441 to help the hosts plan for the amount of food to prepare. 

Parking is half a block from the church, behind Stinson Memorial Library. 

The event is being hosted by the PAST organization of Union County, which invites the community to come for a bowl of hot soup or chili, the fellowship and an opportunity to bid on desserts.
