Shawnee School District plans to host vaccine clinic
Shawnee Community Unit School District No. 84 in Wolf Lake and the Illinois Department of Public Health are planning to host a free Pfizer COVID-19 clinic on Friday, Oct. 1, and Friday, Oct. 22.
Plans for the clinic dates were posted on Southern Seven Health Department’s Facebook page.
Hours for both clinic dates are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The clinic will be in the lobby in the high school gymnasium.
Signs will be posted outside the school building to show the appropriate areas to enter. Parking will be available.
The partner members are providing parents, students 12 or older and community members with the opportunity to get a first or second shot or booster shots.
Parents must come to sign permission slips for their students’ first shot vaccines.
Second shot recipients will need to bring their shot card received at the first shot.
Also, booster shots will be available. Recipients will need to report they are immunocompromised in order to receive their booster shot.
The booster recipients will also need their Shot 1 and Shot 2 card.
