Identities sought in credit card tampering
The Anna Police Department has asked for the public's assistance in identifying two subjects who are allegedly involved in credit card tampering.
The police department was contacted by an identity theft victim from the Effingham area who stated her debit card number was used without her authority at Walmart in Anna.
The subjects were caught on Walmart's recorded video surveillance cameras. The two subjects were transferring money from stolen credit card accounts onto prepaid credit cards at the self check-out stations.
