Donation for playground project

The Jonesboro Elementary School PTO has made a donation for a playground project at the school.

PTO representatives Susan Ramsey and Pamela Turner presented Jonesboro School representatives with a $10,000 donation.

The donation was presented at a June 26 meeting of the Jonesboro School District No. 43 Board of Education.

School district representatives who accepted the donation were board of education president Angie Bowen and superintendent Dr. Keith Reinhardt.

The PTO has been raising funds for several years for playground improvements. The renovated playground is scheduled to be completed this summer.
