Cobden Peach Festival activities planned

The 79th annual Cobden Peach Festival is approaching on Friday, Aug. 5 and Saturday Aug. 6.
Peach Fest is sponsored by the Cobden Lions Club. The schedule includes the Peach Queen contest on Friday night. The new queen will be announced Saturday night.
Fast Eddie's DJ and Karaoke will provide free entertainment Friday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Cobden Runners/Walkers Club is putting on a 5k Run/Walk and a one mile Fun Run on Saturday to begin at 7:30 a.m.
Blues Therapy will perform Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again at 9:15 p.m.
A raffle drawing is planned for Saturday. Tickets are on sale for $1 each.
Rides, bingo and other games, food and peach and cream will also be available at the festival.
