Nellene Quick
Nellene Quick, 85, of Anna, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
She was born on April 2, 1924, in Tiptonville, Tenn., the daughter of Lee W. and Essie Babb McIntosh.
She married Urias Quick on July 1, 1939. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2000.
She was a homemaker for at least 60 years and then worked at Florsheim Shoe Company.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Donna) Quick and Tony Quick, all of Anna; six daughters, Barbara Copeland, Sandra (Shelton) Samples and Kay (Junior) Tatum, all of Portageville, Mo., Claudia Murphy and Darlene Quick, both of Anna, and Debbie (Mike) Penrod of Steeleville; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Willie Sue McGinley of Gideon, Mo., and Maxine Crafton of Kentucky; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Ronnie Quick on Nov. 12, 2005; one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Crain Funeral Home, Anna-Jonesboro with Pastor Mark Kirk officiating. Interment was in Camp Ground Cemetery near Anna.
