Miller earns all-conference golf honors

Anna-Jonesboro’s Abby Miller shot a 106 to earn all-conference honors at the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division high school girls’ golf tournament.

The tournament was played Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Crab Orchard Golf Club in Carterville.

Pinckneyville won the Mississippi Division with a score of 396. Nashville was second with 402.

A-J finished third with a 440. Sparta was fourth with a 475. Du Quoin had no team score.

Sarah Placek shot a 109 for A-J, followed by Cortni Hicks with a 112, Jessi Stone 113, Allison Conner 126 and Katie Malnar 131.
