McLane nets 24 points in Shawnee win

<p class="p1">Drew McLane tossed in 24 points to lead Shawnee to a 53-23 win over visiting Joppa in South Egyptian Conference high school girls' basketball action Tuesday, Dec. 2.</p><p class="p1">Madi Ellet added 19 points for the Lady Reds. Abbey Livesay had 8 points and Amanda Goodman 2.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee led 14-9 after one quarter and 27-10 at the half.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Steeleville 64, Shawnee 31:</strong> The visiting Lady Warriors built a 22-7 first quarter lead on their way to the win Thursday, Dec. 4.</p><p class="p1">Steeleville led 33-17 at the half.</p><p class="p1">McLane and Livesay had 11 points apiece to lead the Lady Reds. Alexis Charles  added 4 points, Ellet 3 and Goodman 2.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee, 2-3, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at home against Century.</p>
