Mary Van Amburg

Mary Van Amburg, 79, of Jonesboro, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at Jonesboro Rehab and Healthcare Center.

She was born on April 1, 1930, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Michael and Ida Zwahlen Van Amburg.

She was a life member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro and WELCA.

She is survived by a sister, Carrie Joy Tellor of Anna; a niece, Janet and Benjie Dunville, of Anna; a nephew, Jim Dillon of Carterville; great-nieces and nephews, Cecilia and Chris, children Morgan, Evan and Bennett Keller, Angie and Billy, children Payton and Miles Alsip, Keith Goins, Kelsey Goins, Beau and Jill Bolin and children, Ryan and Brittney Dillon and children; and special friends Millie Brown and Dennis Goodman.

Funeral services were Monday, June 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro with Pastor David Edison officiating.

Interment was in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
