Martha A. Furlow

Martha A. Furlow, 79, of Cobden, died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at her home in Cobden.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1930, in Cobden, the daughter of Rolla and Agnes Crowell Adams.

She married Robert L. Furlow on March 1, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2000.

Mrs. Furlow is survived by five daughters, Sharon (Jim) Keller of Dixon, Roberta (Gary) Michaels of Cobden, Brenda (Harold) Roach of Metropolis, Dianne and the late James Dailey of Anna, and Donna (Joe) Powell of Ava; one son, Robert (Cathy) Furlow Jr. of Cobden; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Gene (Margie) Adams of Alto Pass, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; a brother, Charles Adams; a sister, Genevia Granger; and one great-grandchild.

She was a member of Immanual Baptist Church in Cobden for many years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Furlow were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with the Rev. Gene Hart officiating.

Interment was in Alto Pass Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to TIP Hospice.

Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden was in charge of arrangements.
