Livesay to Braves’ Class A team

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Former Anna-Jonesboro  CommunityHigh School athlete Cody Livesay has returned to the Atlanta Braves Class A squad in Orlando, Florida.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Cody’s father, Rick, said his son has been with the Class A league for the last month.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">“Hopefully, this year he will have a better shot to go AA,” said Rick, who is the junior varsity baseball coach at A-JCHS.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Cody was hampered by injuries last season. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">While being with the Atlanta organization for the last three years, Livesay has compiled a .275 batting average. Last season, in an injury plagued season, he had a .293 batting average.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Rick said his son, who plays center field for the team, worked out hitting in the offseason in a private batting cage.</span></p>
