Lisa Marie Whitehead, 54, of Jonesboro, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1961 in Cairo, the daughter of Robert Jean and Rosalie Marie Bartsch Minton. She married James "Jim" Whitehead on Jan. 21, 1984 in the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Whitehead of Jonesboro; two sons, Brian and Alan Whitehead both of Jonesboro; step-mother, June Minton of Marion; brother and sisters- in-law, Tom, Sally and Opal; children of Lewis Minton Jr. and Joyce Daws; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts and uncles, Marjorie (Bill) Kirkpatrick, and Lewis Minton Jr. and Joyce Daws.
She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. She worked in human resources at Choate Mental Health and the Illinois Veteran's Home in Anna until her retirement. She loved people and liked helping those in need. Lisa had many friends and she will be dearly missed.
Funeral services was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Dennis Scoville officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
