Linda L. Dillow Alsip Rudolph
<p class="p1">Linda L. Dillow Alsip Rudolph, 78, of Dongola and a former resident of Vienna, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at 12:25 a.m. at Union County Hospital in Anna.</p><p class="p1">She was born on Dec. 8, 1936, in Dongola, the daughter of Glen Paul Dillow and Opal Goodman Dillow.</p><p class="p1">On July 31, 1955, she married Harold Alsip in Greenville, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1976. She later married Wesley Vernon Rudolph. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1987.</p><p class="p1">Survivors include her children, Kaye (Dennis) Harris of Vienna, James (Kim) Alsip of Anderson, South Carolina, and Tracy Alsip of Dongola; seven grandchildren, Erinn Simmons Bowman, Miles Simmons and David Simmons, all of Vienna, Gary James, Amber (Chris) Curry, T.J. Alsip and Noah Alsip, all of South Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Abigaile Bowman, Kaylea Simmons and Jordyn Curry; a sister, Betty Acuff of Dongola; a brother, Paul Dean Dillow of New Mexico; a special aunt, who raised Linda from the age of 18 days, Susie Dillow of Dongola; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.</p><p class="p1">In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Bryan K. Alsip; a great-granddaughter, Ella Rae Simmons; and a sister, Sarah Mowell.</p><p class="p1">She was a graduate of the Dongola High School. She had been employed for the past 17 years as a home healthcare aid. She was a member of the Baptist faith.</p><p class="p1">She enjoyed attending auctions and quilt shows. She was a skilled quilter and had crafted many handmade quilts over the years.</p><p class="p1">Her family said she is perhaps best remembered for her love of collecting all things "chicken." Her home was filled with chicken figurines and keepsakes which she acquired through the years.</p><p class="p1">A prayer service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Private interment was in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.</p><p class="p1">Memorials can be made to the Bald Knob Cross Fund, P.O.
