Lick Creek softball wins two games

The Lick Creek junior high school softball team won twice in recent action.

Following are game summaries:

Lick Creek 12, Dongola 11: Courtney Root was 3-for-5 with 3 stolen bases and 3 RBIs to lead visiting Lick Creek Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Erica Friebel was 3-for-5 with 2 triples, a double and 2 RBIs. Katy King was 2-for-4 with 4 stolen bases and an RBI.

Elle Basler was 2-for-4 with 2 stolen bases and an RBI. Balyie Denny was 2-for-5 with a stolen base and an RBI. Nicole Crawford was 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

Katy King and Balyie Denny pitched in the win, combining on 6 hits to go with 8 walks and 9 strikeouts.

Lick Creek 10, Century 0: Balyie Denny fired a no-hitter to lead host Lick Creek Tuesday, Sept. 8.

She had 6 walks and 3 strikeouts.
