Jim Tadlock

<p class="p1">Jim Tadlock, 73, of Anna, and formerly of Cave-In-Rock, died on Feb. 19, 2016.</p><p class="p1">He was the third child, and only son, born to Ben "Terp" and Thelma Jennings Tadlock.</p><p class="p1">He attended Cave-In-Rock grade and high schools before moving to Manteno. </p><p class="p1">He served for two years in the Army before returning to Manteno and taking employment with the state mental hospital. Later, he transferred to, and retired from, Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna.</p><p class="p1">He resided for 72 years with his mother, Thelma, until her passing last year at the age of 97.</p><p class="p1">Survivors include two nephews, James and Randi Holbrook and Everett and LeAnn Davis; three nieces, Sandy and Tom Barnerd, Gayle and Randy Belford, and Tammy and Coy Taber; an aunt, Mildred Mayfield; many cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.</p><p class="p1">He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Thelma Jennings; two sisters, Velda Holbrook and Wanda "Tuttie" Davis; a niece, Debbie Holbrook; a great-nephew, Heath Barnerd; and all of his uncles and aunts.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Hardin County Funeral Services, Rose Gilbert Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Reeves officiated. Burial was in Cave Hill Cemetery.</p><p class="p1">Memorials can be made to Cave Hill Cemetery.</p>
