Jean Ayers
Mrs. Luberdia Jean Ayers, age 78 of Anna, died at 5:55 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born August 8, 1935 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Louie and Ida May Rhodes Turner. She married Mathis Hoyle “Hat” Ayers on April 1, 1956 in Corinth, Mississippi.
Jean is survived by her husband Mathis Hoyle “Hat” Ayers of Anna; four sons, Sheldon Hoyle Ayers of Anna, Michael Leroy (Debbie) Ayers of Jonesboro, Wayne Kermit Ayers of Jonesboro, James Mathis (Daelia) Ayers of Lick Creek; grandchildren, Dennis Ayers, Crystal Leigh, Angela (Dustin) Ray, Brandy Shelton, Dustin Ayers, Jaden Ayers; great grandchildren, Brittanie Ray, Lillian Ray, Logan Ray, Aubrie Ray, Richard Leigh, Trevor Leigh; brothers, Donald Turner of Jonesboro and Kenneth Turner of Marseilles; cousins; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters, Birdie Ayers, Anna Lee Trexler, Mildred Simms and Zelda Redman.
Jean was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Anna Moose Lodge. She was retired from the Florshiem Shoe Company after 26 years of service.
Jean worked hard all her life to provide the best she could for all she knew, she spent her final days relaxing in her recliner enjoying Matlock, God bless you, your loving family.

A memorial service for Mrs. Luberdia Jean Ayers will be from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the V.F.W. in Anna. Family and friends are asked to come and celebrate Jean’s Life.
