James B. Morrison

<p class="p1">James B. Morrison, 95, of Wetaug, died at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.</p><p class="p1">He was born on March 4, 1920, in De Soto, the son of Blake and Della Beasley Morrison.</p><p class="p1">He married Elise Irene Goines on Nov. 17, 1946.</p><p class="p1">He was a World War II veteran with 41 months of overseas service. After serving his country, he started working for Illinois Central Railroad and retired after 30 years. He enjoyed doing carpentry and wood working. He was a member of Wetaug Church of Christ.</p><p class="p1">Survivors include his daughter, Brenda (Clifton) Perry; grandsons Tull Perry, Nicholas Perry and Spencer Perry; granddaughter Emma Perry; a great-granddaughter, Bria Perry; and great-grandson, Able James Perry, all of Helotes, Texas; nieces, nephews and many other relatives.</p><p class="p1">He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers Ray and Rex Morrison; sisters Alice Fincham, Lila D. Green and Roberta Morrison; and his stepmother, Sylvia Bowlby.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with Clifton Perry and Ronnie Gulley officiating. Interment was in Christian Chapel Cemetery with military honors by Carroll P.
