James B. H. Siebert

James B. H. Siebert, 43, of Anna, died suddenly July 5, 2009, in Carbondale.

He was born on March 27, 1966, in LaSalle to Bennett William and Carla Marie (Felten) Siebert.

He served his country honorably with the U. S. Navy  retiring after 20 years of service to his country.  He was a member of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455, VFW, and the Moose Lodge in Anna.

He is survived by a daughter, Heather Siebert of Beaufort, NC; his mother, Carla (Hurley) Ballenger of Bradenton, FL; his father, Bennett Siebert of Grandville, IL; Richard (Marge) Gaughan of Winter Haven, FL, who was like a second father to him; four brothers, Bennett (Sandra) Siebert Jr of Crossville, AL, Richard (Jill) Gaughan Jr of LaSalle, IL, Mike (Falena) Gaughan of Utica, IL and Jason  Siebert of Hopedale, IL; six sisters, Tina Siebert of San Antonio, TX, Mary (Ron) Gorst of Dongola, Tracey (Ken) Weisnecht of Tigerton, WI, Yvonne Gaughan of LaSalle, Angelina (Santos) Borunda of Colorado Springs, CO and Susan (Brian) Taylor of LaSalle; his significant other, Kathleen Walters of Anna; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his first grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, a sister, Renee Gaughan and Louise Gaughan, who was a second mother to him.

Memorial services will be held at noon, Friday, July 10, 2009, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with Bobby Richardson officiating.  Military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455, Veterans of Foreign Wars at the conclusion of the service.

Visitation will be held from 10: to noon, Friday, July 10, 2009, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Funeral Home.
