A-J Wildcat wrestler Dylan Fox moves on to sectional

<p class="p1">Anna-Jonesboro Community High School’s Dylan Fox decisioned  Pinckneyville’s Jordan Koester 8-7 in the 3rd place match at the Harrisburg Class 1A regional Saturday, Feb. 6.</p><p class="p1">Fox, 15-11, who wrestled in the 138-pound class, is the lone Wildcat wrestler to advance to the Class 1A sectional at Carterville this weekend.</p><p class="p1">The 1st through 3rd place finishers advance to the sectional. Fourth place wrestlers advance as alternates and compete in their respective classes if a grappler doesn’t show up.</p><p class="p1">A-J had four wrestlers finish in fourth place who will advance as alternates. The Wildcat foursome includes Paul Hileman, 120 pounds; C.J. Youngerman, 145 pounds; Ben Dowdy, 182 pounds; and Nick Jimenez, 285 pounds.</p><p class="p1">The Wildcat wrestlers couldn’t compete in four weight classes at the regional because of injuries, A-J head coach Eric Massey said.</p>
