A-J volleyball team tops Marion

The Anna-Jonesboro High School volleyball team defeated visiting Marion 26-24, 11-25 and 28-26 Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Karley Heath led the way with 14 assists and Adriel Cross added10 assists.

Chandra Parr had 3 aces on serve. Leslie Donna had 10 perfect digs.

Rachel Hayden had 9 kills, Kaylee Little 5, Alise Wheaton 4 and Emma Basler, Chandra Parr and Lindsey Patterson had 3 apiece.

Alise Wheaton had 5 blocks and Rachel Hayden and Kaylee Little 4 apiece.

The Lady Wildcats lost three times in the Carbondale tournament Saturday, Sept. 5.

Sparta defeated A-J 19-25 and 23-25.

Lindsey Patterson had 4 aces for A-J. Adriel Cross had 8 assists. Chandra Parr had 4 kills and Alise Wheaton 3.

Nashville defeated the Lady Wildcats 12-25 and 12-25.

Karley Heath had 5 assists for A-J. Kaylee Little had 2 blocks and Rachel Hayden and Alise Wheaton had 2 kills apiece.

A-J lost 18-25 and 19-25 to O’Fallon.

Adriel Cross had 5 assists and Karley Heath had 4. Rachel Hayden and Adriel Cross had an ace apiece.

Rachel Hayden had 3 blocks and Lindsey Patterson had 1.

Rachel Hayden had 5 kills and Kaylee Little had 4.
