A-J volleyball team in action at tournament

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Anna-Jonesboro High School volleyball team lost three times in the Carbondale Tournament Saturday, Sept. 5.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Herrin 25-15-15, A-J 12-25-11:</strong> MaKenzie Boget had 10 serve attempts, an ace and 3 block assists. Elle Basler had 9 serve attempts, 4 digs and a block assist. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Madison Calhoun had 11 serve attempts and 2 digs. Madi Bigler had 8 serve attempts, 3 digs and a block assist. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Brooke Miller had 5 serve attempts, 3 digs and 3 block assists.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Carbondale 25-25, A-J 18-17:</strong> Boget had 10 serve attempts and an ace, a dig and 4 block assists. Maddi Mayo had 7 digs. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Boget had 10 serve attempts, an ace, a dig and 4 block assists. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Basler had 5 serve attempts, 12 digs and a block assist. Bigler had 5 serve attempts, 10 digs and a block assist. Miller had 5 serve attempts, 3 digs and 3 block assists. Jamie Hammond had 4 serve attempts, 2 digs and 5 block assists.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Salem 22-25-15, A-J 25-22-10:</strong> Mayo had 6 serve attempts and 3 digs. Boget had 10 serve attempts, an ace, a dig and 3 block assists. Basler had 9 serve attempts, 4 digs and a block assist. Calhoun had 11 serve attempts and 2 digs. Bigler had 8 serve attempts, 3 digs and a block assist. Miller had 5 serve attempts, 3 digs and 3 block assists.  </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">A-J, 4-6, plays Thursday, today, at home against Carterville.</span></p>
