A-J rally falls short

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Trailing 6-1, the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School baseball team scored three runs in the final innings in a come-from-behind bid that fell short in a 6-4 loss to Vienna in the Class 2A   Wildcat regional tournament Tuesday, May 19.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Collin Prather was 3-for-4 to lead the Wildcats at the plate. Wade Haire and Noah Prater were each 2-for-4 with an RBI apiece. Blake Klett was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Sean Plott was 1-for-3.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Prather and Prater pitched in the loss. Prather pitched 2 innings and allowed 7 hits to go with no walks and a strikeout. Prater pitched 5 innings and allowed 4 hits to go with no walks and 3 strikeouts.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Wildcats closed out their season with an 8-22 overall record.</span></p>
