Inez Wright Stevens

Inez Wright Stevens, 89, of Batavia, and formerly of Anna, died at 10 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at Countryside Care Center in Aurora.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1919, in Pulaski County, the daughter of Oscar and Laura Earnhart Wright.

She was married on June 28, 1941 to Elmer Stevens. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1989.

She was a homemaker and a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Terry Stevens of Batavia; her daughter, Cheri Kershaw of Auburn; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Delilah Henry of Merrillville, Ind.; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Wright, and a sister, Verna Wright.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stevens will be at noon Saturday, June 6, at Crain Funeral Home, Anna-Jonesboro. Interment will be in Anna Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, today, at Moss Funeral Home in Batavia and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Crain Funeral Home.
