Henry L. Hileman, 86, of Anna, died at 8:57 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 at his home in Anna. He was born on Sept. 7, 1929 in Union County, the son of Henry Doyle and Eva (Hinkle) Hileman. Henry married Lotrell Tweedy on July 4, 1955 in Tennessee.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enlisted in September of 1946 and retired from the military service Jan. 31, 1969 after 22 years of service. He was a life member of the V.F.W. and served as Quartermaster for several years. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge, Shriners and was a lifetime NRA member. Henry Retired from the Marion Federal Prison after several years of service.
He is survived by his wife Lotrell of Anna; four children, Tammy (David) Stewart of Jonesboro, Carey (Sue Mardirosian) Hileman of Crab Orchard, Bruce (Helen) Hileman of Lake of Egypt and Todd (Sue) Hileman of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Joshua Hileman, Tyler (Zarah) Hileman, Chad (Rachel) Stewart, Ian (Cherokee) Stewart, Brittney (Adam Hoffner) Hileman and Marrina Hileman; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers, Robert (Doris) Hileman of Anna and Terry (Mary Beth) Hileman of Anna; one sister, Anita Davis of Anna; brother-in-law, Jim (Blackie) Mueller of Anna, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Brandon Jackson and Henry Martin Hileman; sister, Shirley Mueller and brother-in-law, Charles Davis.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment was at the McGinnis Cemetery with military rites conducted at the graveside by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. of Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion. Memorial contributions may be made to the McGinnis Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
