Health care law focus of presentations
Free community presentations about new health care laws, the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Marketplace, are being presented in Anna.
The presentations are scheduled at Rural Health Inc. at 513 N. Main St. in Anna.
The programs began Nov. 7 and are scheduled to continue Thursday, today, and again on Thursday, Nov. 21. The programs begin at 6 p.m.
Those who attend the programs will have an opportunity to learn about how the new health care laws apply to them and their families.
Rural Health asks those who plan to attend to preregister.
For more information, or to preregister, contact the outreach and enrollment department at Rural Health by phone at 833-4471.
Rural Health outreach coordinator Sarah Pitcher said that the presentations may continue in future months, if there is demand.
"We can also do presentations at other locations by request," such as a work place or school, Pitcher said in an email.
"We are available daily to answer questions and assist the public, as well as to help with enrollment into Medicaid and/or Health Insurance Marketplace plans via the Get Covered Illinois marketplace with an appointment," Pitcher added.
All services are free and available to anyone, regardless of whether or not they are a patient of Rural Health Inc.
