Goreville set to host regional

Goreville is the top seed and will host the Class 1A high school girls’ basketball regional Feb. 6-9.

Century is seeded second, followed by Shawnee, Cobden, Dongola and Egyptian.

The tournament schedule follows:

Monday, Feb. 6, Cobden vs. Dongola at 6 p.m., Shawnee vs. Egyptian at 8:10 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 7, Goreville will play the winner of the Cobden-Dongola game at 6 p.m., Century will play the winner of the Shawnee-Egyptian game at 8:10 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 9, the winners of Tuesday night’s games will play each other Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. for the championship.
