Gordon Stanley Dodd, 80, of Gun Barrel City, Texas, died on Dec. 11, 2013, in Tyler, Texas.
He was born on Jan. 22, 1933, in Jonesboro, the son of Paul and Helen Brown Dodd.
He married Joann Williams, on April 19, 1957, in Los Angeles, Calif. They made their home in Inola for 25 years, and then moved to the Whitehorn Cove area.
He worked most of his life as a phone equipment installer for AT&T.
He was a Navy veteran and was very active in the VFW.
He liked woodworking and making CD's for all his friends at the American Legion. He also had a special love for Oklahoma Sooner football.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Shipman Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor, Okla., with Kerwin Scott officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy and husband Bill Harvell of Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Teri and husband John Moon of Seguin, Texas; one brother, Sonny and wife Helen Dodd of Anna; one sister-in-law, Helen Dodd of Anna; five grandchildren, J.C. Moon, Samantha Gutierrez, Jordan Moon, James Bookout and Whitney Harvell; seven great-grandchildren, Brenna Bookout, Bronson Gutierrez, Callen Gutierrez, Rourk Gutierrez, Makensie Moon, Sydney Moon and Clara Moon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann; his son, Paul Dodd; one brother, Joe Dodd; one granddaughter, Chelsea Harvell; and his parents.
