Glenna Mae Watkins

Glenna Mae Watkins, 84, of Anna, died at 12 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 at her home. She was born Nov. 12, 1930 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Glenn Alfred and Beulah Mae Lingle Mowery. She married Vernon E. Watkins on April 26, 1947 in Mill Creek. He preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 2008.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Harris of Jonesboro, and Donna Watkins of Anna; three sons, Mike Watkins of Anna, Randy Watkins of Dupo, and Mark Watkins of Anna; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Pauline Musgrave of Anna; one brother, Wayman Mowery of Springfield, Missouri; other relative and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon E. Watkins; son, Shawn Watkins; and brother Leroy Mowery.

She was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church for many years. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Southern Illinois for their care and compassion.

Services will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
