George W. Pender

<p class="p1">George W. Pender, 80, of Indianapolis, Indiana, died on Aug. 24, 2015, at his residence.</p><p class="p1">He was born on Jan. 13, 1935, in Wolf Lake, the son of George and Edith Leggans Pender.</p><p class="p1">On Sept. 26, 1953, he married June Holderfield in Nashville, Indiana.</p><p class="p1">He worked as an inspector at Witco-Richardson Rubber Company in Indianapolis for 38 years, retiring in 1991.</p><p class="p1">He attended Pentecostal Power of Praise in Indianapolis. He also supported House of Victory and Jubilee Full Gospel, and many other churches. He was an avid fisherman.</p><p class="p1">He is survived by his wife, June; three sons, Tim (Angie) Pender, Mike (Donna) Pender and Stan (Sharon) Pender; two daughters, Vicki (Jimmy) Carr and Mickey (Eddie) Carr; three brothers, Don, Art and Adrian Pender; two sisters, Helen Royer and Jhan Miller; 21 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.</p><p class="p1">He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Aug. 28, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, Indiana. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.</p>
