Gail Lere McIntosh

<p class="p1">Gail Lere McIntosh, 96, of Ullin, died at 12:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Union County Hospital in Anna.</p><p class="p1">She was born on Feb. 8, 1919, in Dongola, the daughter of Clyde L. and Velma Johnson Schluter.</p><p class="p1">She married Leland McIntosh on June 29, 1940. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1996.</p><p class="p1">She was a member of Cross Road United Methodist Church and retired from M. Snower Company in Cairo, where she was a seamstress for about 30 years. She enjoyed painting, reading, crafting, sewing and gardening.</p><p class="p1">She is survived by her children, Carolyn Theis of Millstadt, Bob (Sue) McIntosh of Pulaski and Cheryl McIntosh of Normal; grandchildren Karen (Bob) Mueller of Millstadt, Angie Theis of Millstadt, Brian Theis of Millstadt, Monica (Jeff) Holshouser of Tamms, Rodney (Chrissy) McIntosh of Ullin and Erin McKee of Normal, Angela Tripp of Sunset, Missouri, and Larry Tripp Jr. of Anna; great-grandchildren Jason (Jamie), Courtney, Austin, Zachary, Chelsie, Alyssa, Carly, Tyler, Amber, Cruiz (Kaylee), Christian, Elizabeth (Roger) and Rachael; great-great-grandchildren Charlotte, Connor and RyLynn; a sister, Ruth (Leonard) Trampe of Metropolis; and two brothers, Clyde Schluter of Anna and Bill Schluter of Dongola.</p><p class="p1">She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland McIntosh, her parents; and two sisters, Florence McIntosh and Fern McIntosh.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin with the Rev. Pete Vinson officiating.
