<p class="p1">Fred Keller, 66, of Cape Girardeau, and formerly of Dongola, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Chateau Girardeau.</p><p class="p1">He was born on April 5, 1949, in Anna, the son of Cecil and Belva Hoffmann Keller.</p><p class="p1">He married Chris Matlock on March 28, 1986.</p><p class="p1">He graduated from Dongola High School and then attended Southern Illinois University, graduating in 1971. He spent 25 years in broadcasting at local television and radio stations. He then worked at Schnuck's until his retirement in 2014.</p><p class="p1">He loved music. He served as church organist for many years and also played the trombone. He had many other interests, such as photography, computers and history. He was a ham radio operator and participated in the Cape Girardeau Civil War Roundtable.</p><p class="p1">He is survived by his wife Chris and daughter Sarah Keller, both of Cape Girardeau; other relatives and many friends.</p><p class="p1">He was preceded in death by his parents.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services for Mr. Keller were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Mark Anderson and the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Graveside services will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, today, at the American Legion Cemetery in Dongola.</p><p class="p1">Memorials can be made to Southeast Hospice.</p><p class="p1">To leave online condolences, visit www.crainsonline.com.</p><p class="p1">Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.</p>
