Former high school softball players competing at collegiate level this spring

Several former area high school softball players are competing at the collegiate level this spring.

Former Cobden High School athlete Taylor Orsburn is a member of the Southern Illinois University Carbondale squad.

Orsburn’s former teammate DaCota Knop is a member of the John A. Logan Community College team. 

Orsburn is a returning Missouri Valley all-conference selection. Knop is a returning Great Rivers Athletic Conference pick.

Other area players on the Lady Volunteers squad are former Cobden athletes Ana Duda and Kayla Quertermous and Anna-Jonesboro’s Jayda Rendleman.

Former A-J softball players Jordan Edwards and Rebecca Lohstroh are members of the Shawnee Community College softball team.

Former Shawnee High School athletes Geri Ellis and Morgan Kennedy and former Goreville athletes Jodi Wright and Cayla Harner are also members of the Lady Saints softball team.
