Bartruff, our loving mother, age 85 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Heights of Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born October 9, 1926 in Kansas, the daughter of Steven H. and Effie Wilkey Brown. She married Lowell E. Bartruff on July 4, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2003.</span></strong></p>

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Cambria;"><span style="">        </span> Fern is survived by her three daughters, Connie (Rob) Gilliam, Brenda (Jimmy) Cornelius of Auburn, Kentucky, Jean and Gary Simmons of Arkansas; two sons, Lowell E. Bartruff II, and James Bartruff of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois and Elaine; two sisters in law, Velma (Harold) Mull of Annondale, VA and Norma Dillow-Conant of Jonesboro. <span style=""> </span></span></strong></p>

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Cambria;"><span style="">        </span> Fern was an active member of the L.D.S. Church. She was a good friend to many. Fern managed a Day Care for many years.</span></strong></p>

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Cambria;"><span style="">        </span> Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Fern E. Bartruff will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Jonesboro with Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.</span></strong></p>
