Elzada Ozment
Elzada (Zada) Ozment, 70, of Harrisburg, died at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1939, in Stonefort, the daughter of Gilbert Miller and Irene Talley Miller.
She married Richard Ozment on Aug. 25, 1956.
She worked at several health care facilities before retiring. She also worked as a florist before retiring to Carrier Mills.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carrier Mills and the VFW Auxiliary in Anna.
Mrs. Ozment is survived by her husband, Richard; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jim Kohl of Cobden; a grandson, Matthew Kohl of Cobden; her mother and stepfather, Irene and John Gowdy I of Carrier Mills; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Diane Miller of Carrier Mills; a sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Ray Watson of Harrisburg; and a stepbrother and sister-in-law, John and Melinda Gowdy II of Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Richard (Rick) Ozment.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the First United Methodist Church in Carrier Mills with the Revs. Joey Dunning and Stan Irvin officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills.
Memorials can be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure fund.
Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills was in charge of arrangements.
