<p class="p1">Elsie Laverne Ridenhour, 91, of Jonesboro, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.</p><p class="p1">She was born on Dec. 29, 1923, in Ullin, the daughter of Dallas and Ethel Heddinger Jordan.</p><p class="p1">She married Harold Ridenhour on March 2, 1943. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1990.</p><p class="p1">She attended the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She also worked as a mental health technician for 24 years at Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna.</p><p class="p1">She is survived by three sons, Walter (Juna) Ridenhour of Kansas City, Missouri, Larry (Marsha) Ridenhour of Anna and Robert Ridenhour of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Ridenhour, Debra Taylor, Sherri Hensley, Greg Ridenhour and Brad Ridenhour; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one nephew, Ronald (Sharon) Little of Collinville, Tennessee; many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.</p><p class="p1">She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ridenhour; her parents, Dallas and Ethel Jordan; a brother, Leonard Jordan; sisters Lorraine Winn and Lucille and Louise Jordan; her mother-in-law, Ruth Ridenhour; and her father-in-law, Harry Ridenhour.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonebsoro with the Rev. David Taylor officiating.
