EEI appoints Helm as business services director

The board of directors of Electric Energy Inc., EEI, recently appointed James M. Helm to director of business services. 

In addition to his new role, Helm will continue as the secretary-treasurer of the board of directors of EEI.

The secretary-treasurer post also is a board-appointed position. 

As secretary-treasurer of the board of directors, Helm is responsible for all corporate records, as well as all financial and operational accounting activities of the company.

In his role as director of business services, Helm is responsible for three departments: accounting services, management services and human resources. 

Helm began his employment at EEI in 1978 as an accountant. 

Prior to the new appointment, Helm served as manager of accounting services for over 15 years. 

In 1985, EEI’s board of director’s appointed him to the position of secretary-treasurer, which he continues to hold.

He received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. 

Helm and his wife Christine reside in Dongola. They are the parents of a daughter, Dr. Paige Helm-Maginel, and two grandchildren.
