Easter egg hunts set in area Saturday

Easter egg hunts are scheduled in the area Saturday, March 30.

Anna, St. Mary's Church: An Easter egg hunt is planned Saturday, March 30, at St. Mary's Church in Anna.

The egg hunt will be at 10 a.m. in the church's parish hall at 402 Freeman St.

Shawnee Community College: The annual Shawnee Community College Phi Theta Kappa Easter egg hunt is planned Saturday, March 30.

The egg hunt is set for 10 a.m. on the college's main campus near Ullin.

The Shawnee Community College Cosmetology Club, the Century School Beta Club and the Karnak United Methodist Church will assist with the egg hunt.

Children will be able to hunt for more than 5,000 eggs, including special prize eggs in each age group.

Age groups are 0-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years and 11-12 years.

The egg hunt is open to all families and is free of charge.

For a good-weather hunt, families are advised to park in the lower parking lot at the college for a lakeside event.

Families are advised to park by the front of the atrium and use that building's entrance in the event of rain.

Dongola: The Dongola Fire Department is planning to sponsor an Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 30.

The egg hunt will be at 11:30 a.m. at the ball park.

The fire department also is planning to serve a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on March 30.

Anna, Elks Lodge 1641 will hold its eighth annual Easter egg hunt at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30. Age groups will be from toddlers to age 3, 4 to 7 years old, and 8 to 10 years old.
