Duane R. Morgan

Duane R. Morgan, 37, of Anna, died at 1:33 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Dec. 14, 1971, in Cape Girardeau, the son of William Randall “Randy” and Donna Hill Morgan.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his mother, Donna Hill Morgan of Anna; his father, Randy and his wife Mary Morgan of McClure; four sisters, Shelley Hileman and Jason Culbreth of Anna, Jenifer and husband Jamie Eddleman of Anna, Miranda Morgan and fiancé Matt Frizzell of Anna, and Katy Morgan and fiancé Sam Newman of Anna;  nieces Katherine Olivia Eddleman, and Dakota Brooke Hileman; nephews Dalton M. Baker and Jakob P. Eddleman; paternal grandparents Paul and Luella Morgan of Jonesboro; one aunt, Paula and Chris Whiteside of Anna; two uncles, Mike and Karen Morgan, and Van and Beth Morgan, both of Jonesboro; friends and hunting buddies Chris Boyd, Michael Roach, Heath Newman and Dalton Baker; great-aunts; great-uncles; cousins; other relatives and many more friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Katherine Hill.

Mr. Morgan was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked to attend sporting events.

Funeral services for Mr. Morgan were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment was in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Duane Morgan Scholarship Fund.
